My thoughts on The overwhelming response to Project Clanilla!!!!

Well being the cool guy that I am, Ive been talking with two of my great youtube friends and we have a great plan. One guys channel is called jurydutysummons, the other guys is called Thesergenbaldwin. Now between the 2 they have over 500 legit subs that watch all their videos and are very popular in the youtube community. + my existing subs of 37, The grand opening video alone will cause A HUGE serge of people/guests,members/applicants. And any videos after that will gain larger fan base.
I dont know whats going to happen but,If anyone's like,"wow were growing fast!"...ummmmm...im afraid this is just the very begging. I may even do some lets play videos cuz this comunty is shaping up so well.
Ive already got pages @ youtube, facebook(still working on official page), minecraftforums, and soon we will have official listing on Mcserverslist.net, minecraftnews.net a few other server lists i cant think of at the moment.
I plan on dedicating all my time to this project,and make it the best,highly acclaimed server/community that everyone wants to be a part of. I don't have much time left in life,and i want to leave a legacy...this is mine.

How big are we going to let this server get? Remember the more people we have there is a larger stress on the server. Also a better chance of griefing. Not to say Im against growth, but unchecked growth.

well i hope its not gonna get too big...ill upgrade the server to match member base...take on more mods as needed.the question im asking myself is...how many is enough?? 50?? 100?? 200?? i dont know honestly....i wont let it get out of controll...always white list...i think im gonna sign up for MCGLOBALBAN...it deters many griefers.
ill have a better idea on and after launch date...i dont wana play in a crazy big server...but i dont even know how many is too many for myself....we will go on the whole community's feel...

will the youtube vidoes be after, or before we get houses/community places set up, just wondering, and if it is after, how long do we have to set up a base before the youtube guys come on?

They will be there right on launch...and again later(about a month)

we will be releasing our own as well, of both the launch and end of month event. I'm thinking some lets play as well.

I will make a poll for what game to play each month as well. Your options may be expanded on in the future, if there are suggestion in the new topic I posted.

Seems to be growing a good community quite quickly. I think Clits is doing a great job with not only how he chose applicants, but also the forum, as well as all his youtube videos he’s been doing. Keep it up man. + 1 Notch for you

All we can do now is wait for the fireworks to get hit by that spark and hope for the best! Hopefully we get just enough people to make this server as good as possible so.... about 500 players?

500 seems excessive to me... but i guess what do i know?

i dont know if i could afford a 500 person server to be honest...hmmmm...what would that cost??? lol...about $2000 a month with team speak3...no dedicated server......scary!!

The day before the grand opening you guys should try a stress test using some selected users. After that try checking everything is working correctly. Its kinda like a "BETA Test". I dont think its even near that.

the server will have been up and fully running for 7 days prior to ensure 99% up time and everything is ready no lagg, nothing wrong...GUARANTEED!!! we can run 65 people at one time right now(upgrading frequently!) no one has to worry...i have everything in mind and am acting accordingly...I, unlike other admins, realize my role and responsibilities to 70+ members is a priority,and will always be...Im thinking this should be our motto..
